Happy, Happy Birthday TODAY.
Best wishes to you. A few of us are still here for some unknown reason. My wife passed away on the 4th of December 2024. We were married for 56 years. Years ago, I was agnostic, she was a catholic, one day we had two young missionaries knock on our door. They were from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She listened, asked them questions and after four months’ time she was baptized into the Church. I followed suit eight months later. The best decision that I made without a doubt. Now I am now on an oxygen tube that is connected to my nose, but am still drawing, imitating work as an architect. I have half a dozen projects that I’m currently working on. We reside on 4 ½ acres here in West Central FL where I’m not convenient to anything. Tampa and Orlando are about an hour and twenty minutes south. Ocala is an hour north. I say ‘we’ , my son and daughter both reside here as well. Aaron resides in the old portion of the Home; Genevieve resides in a cottage that is adjacent to the house. My wife was unable to bear children, so we adopted Aaron when he was three days old in August 1978 and Genevieve when she was 2 ½ months old in July 1983. I constructed an addition to an existing house and dug a hole ten feet deep and constructed a basement with an addition above the basement. It has worked out for us for the past 30 + years
You are a minister also I believe that I have read somewhere. To be a witness of Jesus Christ is an enormous blessing indeed. The more that I read and study, the more I realize that I do not know squat. Like you I presume, I pray, read, study, pray some more and everything always seems to work out in spite of all that I do. Yes, I lost my wife, although we have been sealed as husband and wife for time and for all eternity, our children have been also sealed to us in the Washington, DC Temple. They each have three children so time spent here in the woods watching them grow up and drive the golf cart and the tractor has provided great joy and blessings to me.
I trust the Lord has equally blessed your life as well. My days are full, as I stated I still work, which does allow the mind to stay fresh and to function. Writing letters to building depts and other bureaucrats as well as using AutoCAD and drawing buildings keeps the mind functioning. This much I do know.
Best wishes to you Thomas and to your Family as well.
