Gloria Jean Spurlock Gooch (83) passed in her home on Sunday, October 29, 2023, with her husband and daughter by her side. Jean was born August 17, 1940, to Burl and Tressa Spurlock. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jim Gooch; Daughter, Kimberly Gooch Jones (husband, Paul Kent); Two Grandchildren - Erica Jones Cavitt (husband -Adam Cavitt) and Trey Jones (wife-Alexis Caldwell Jones).

She was a great-grandmother to 4: Brody, Case, Ella, and Jaxson. She is also survived by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal Spurlock (Laura), Rodney Spurlock (Connie), and Pastor Claude Spurlock (Barbara), and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who rarely missed any of their events and loved spending time with family.

A very special heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice. The employees were professional, caring, considerate, knowledgeable, and provided exceptional care to our loved one.  Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM, Friday, November 3, 2023, at Wallace Family Funeral Home, South Point, OH, with Pastor Claude Spurlock officiating. A burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV.
