In Memory

Brenda Steele (Prather)

Brenda Steele Prather passed away on November 2 following a battle with cancer. She was born in Huntington on September 10, 1941. Brenda is survived by her two daughters Paige Fuller, and Victoria Wangeman, and three grandchildren, Scott Wangeman, Kylie Dreyer Mark Wangeman.

Her husband of 59 years, William E. (Jud) Prather died in 2019. Jud had retired from American Airlines an international 767 pilot. Brenda was a resident of Napa, California. During her marriage, while her husband served in the U.S. Air Force, she had resided in Phoenix AZ, Bitburg, Germany and Las Vegas NV.

She had served as a member of her local hospital Foundation Board, raising money to purchase new imaging equipment, enhanced surgical suites and bring outstanding physicians to the hospital. Brenda had also served as foreman of the Napa County Grand Jury in 1989 and 1990.

Brenda had several hobbies, including knitting, crafting of various kinds, golf and dominoes.  Of course we also remember Brenda as one of our HHS Pony Express cheerleaders. No memorial service information is available.
