GERALD C. YOUNG, 61, of Brooksville, went home to be with Jesus, Saturday, October 19, 2002, "There is no pain in Heaven". He was born and raised in Huntington, WV, and moved to Florida in 1990. He was Protestant by faith and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a security guard for the Pasco Security Agency. Predeceased in death by three young brothers, David Ray, Frankie Lowell and Sidney Allen. He is survived by his children, Sherri Lynn Thompson and Jeffrey Alan and his wife: Helen Young; grandson: Cory Thacker; mother: Nellie Jo and father: Billy E. Keffer; sister: Cheryl Houchins, Johnna Young and Jamie Young, all of West Virginia; aunts: Mary Swann of Proctorville, OH; Yvonne and husband: Cody Decoteau of Brooksville; and Janet her husband, Gill Harmon of VA; and good friend Keith May.
