Jane Vincent Tallman, 66, of Charleston passed away Dec. 2, 2007, in St. Francis Hospital. Jane was born in Martin, Ky., and was a daughter of the late H.H. and Ann Reynolds Vincent.She was a member of Boyd Memorial Church, graduated at the top of her class from Huntington High School in 1959 and was also at the top of her class when she graduated from Smith College, Northampton, Mass, in 1963. Later, in 1964, she attended WVU and worked on a master's degree. Jane taught history at West Virginia Tech from 1965 until 1970 and continued to teach music from her home the remainder of her life. Mrs. Tallman is survived by her husband, Kenneth Tallman; brothers, Haskell Vincent of Elyria, Ohio, and Paul M. Vincent of Bethesda, Md.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James G. Vincent.
