Beverly Wood (Hudson)

BEVERLY WOOD HUDSON, 65, of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon, January 28, 2007, at her home following brief illness. Mrs. Hudson was born June 15, 1941 in Hollywood, Florida to the late Zelpha Owedia Bowen Wood and Chesley Allon Wood. She was raised and schooled in Huntington, West Virginia. Mrs. Hudson met her late husband of 40 years, Donald Ray Hudson, in Indiana and they were married in 1962. They traveled extensively while he served in the United States Army, retired at Fort Rucker and made their home in Ozark. She was a member of Ewell Bible Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and Dale County Christian School for 13 years. Mrs. Hudson was a loving mother and grandmother who was an avid lighthouse collector and crocheter. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Allon Jordan Hudson. Survivors include her step-daughter, Cindy Hunt and her husband, Joseph of Orlando, son, Donald Ray (Chip) Hudson, II of Birmingham, step-son, Donald Ray (Donnie) Hudson, Jr. of Aurora, Indiana, three grandchildren, Skylar Hudson, Noah Hudson, and Selina Hudson Gavin, her brother, Donald Wood of Columbus, Ohio, nephew, Todd Wood and his wife, Lee of Columbus, Ohio, great niece, Zoe Wood of Columbus, Ohio.
