Moved to Charlotte in 1975 and made my home there until my retirement in 2005. I will always love Charlotte and still spend as much time as possible there shopping and visiting with friends. In 1965, my daughter convinced me to move closer to her in Ft. Mill SC, a lovely, old historical town that is only a few minutes away from Charlotte. Our Main Street is charming with antique stores and a restaurant named Local Dish that serves only southern foods grown in our area...shrimp and grits & fried green tomatoes. Peach trees and horse farms surround the area making it a beautiful place to live.

I spend much of my time with Animal Adoption Group here. Have fostered several dogs and always find each and every one hard to part with. I think it is true what they say about southern people.. kind, patient and a dialect that is wonderful to listen to.

My Grand-girls are growing fast. Hannah is in Charleston SC and Ashley Grace is entering 11th grade. Beautiful young ladies that are growing up way too fast!!

So many wonderful memories of times and friends spent at Marshall Lab, Oley, HHS, and Marshall U...hard to put into such a small space. Love when we all get together and talk about "old times". Facebook and our HHS website has been great in helping me find friends that have moved away and to stay in touch with others I might not hear from other wise. I think we grew up in a wonderful era....Huntington was exceptional to live in during the 1950's and 60's and we didn't even know what great times we did have until we had the chance to think about our children and the world they are growing up in. So few people I've met have had as much connection with their classmates and hometown as our HHS-59 group seems to have. My memories keep me smiling...........
